On June 6th, 2006, making the date 6/6/6/, Scott, following a very successful 28 year career  with the same company, was "downsized".  Vowing to never let this happen again, he started down the road of Real Estate Investing to secure his and his family's financial future.  Driven to be successful in this field of investing, he studied all that he could get his hands on, attended seminars, completed training courses and associated himself with a group of already successful RE-Investors that would act as a kind of "safety net" to minimize financial mistakes along the way.  In other words, RE Investing became the focus of his life.

Following the purchase of two single-family homes for investment purposes, Joyce and Scott rehabbed them and sold them to Tenant-Buyers who purchased them on a 2-year Lease Option.  Both buyers are "Professional-Transplants" to the area after being forced to change their careers as well.

Joyce, following her nearly 35 year career in the Health-Care field, applied her expertise in the areas of Color & Design to turn the houses into homes that were easy to market and sell.  Her ability to visualize a warm and inviting room, when most others, including Scott, could only see bare walls in need of paint, added a tremendous value and appealed directly to the female gender of the interested couple - the half that ultimately "buys" the home.

Their immediate success in this field drove Scott even deeper into his studies in this field and through these studies, he discovered Private Mortgage Lending; a very lucrative alternative to CD's, IRA's and other more common investment vehicles that provide very low returns ( 2-4%) on your money.
